An ode to the creepy and the misunderstood, Klein takes his recognizable surreal expressionist style, and creates deeply visceral, contemplative yet primal portraits of some of the most beloved horror and sci-fi creatures.
Klein considers this an ongoing exploration, to continue over the years, and will take many different curatorial forms and installations.

Each painting has a unique take on a classic character. Klein uses different mediums and stylistic influences to explore the essence of each character in a different light.
Some of these include handmade wooden slabs to support the work. (Klein is a trained framer and woodworker)
HorrorCon LA 2025
DeKay teamed up with Special effects-Guru Imaginerick and curator Brenda La Tremenda to create a surreal and haunting immersive booth at Horrorcon in Los Angeles, California in September 2025.
An incarnation of the series was curated into The Vault Gallery DTLA for Spooky October.
