The Art of DeKay

What started as a symbolic and edgy acronym gradually evolved into a layered and complex relationship. The Art of DeKay has come to represent, to the artist, the dynamic of life itself, the ups and downs, reduction and collapse, and reinvigoration and renewal.

David Stewart Klein has a 15 + year career as an exhibiting fine artist. Having begun his lifelong passion for drawing and painting over 30 years ago, he has had many cycles and stylistic forms combine. Klein is a great style chameleon and has mastered multiple disciplines to create a dynamic universe of his own. His most prominent qualities as an artist are his empathy, attention to detail, and his ability to communicate a complex and layered expression in a single work of art. This has often left the visitors of his exhibitions in deep reflection, moved, and with a new take on the power of painting.
